where is larry alcala?

yesterday, we were asked to go home early and just work from home since our network connection at the office went down and it would take around 5 hours to resume the regular operations. before i went home, i passed by shangri-la first (i was commuting by mrt-lrt) and decided to eat my late lunch at jollibee. i was amazed to see this on the wall of the jollibee store...

this classic cartoon drawing of the late larry alcala (died in 2002, according to wikipedia) brought back some good childhood memories. whenever i was bored at home (no cable tv then hehe), i just read, read, and read. it came up to the point of reading aloud all the funny komiks (remember niknok?) and all the magazines in my parents's junk shop. name it, i probably had read it: women's, mod, liwayway, panorama, etc. i think it's in panorama that we often get to see this. wanna find out where larry alcala is? click this up close version...

have you given up? the answer is here. ;)

oh, i miss those days when you can just read mags to your heart's content. i remember nakikitambay ako sa neighbor namin noon because they're subscribed to Liwayway. i love reading Agua Bendita :) and i love trying to spot Larry Alcala in Panorama, too.
